I'm a UX designer with an emphasis on delivering innovative and engaging experiences.
I love solving challenges around new technologies and refining designs around existing ones.

In my 15+ years of interaction design experience, I've designed web, apps, enterprise, and mobile focused products. I've worked for some of the largest companies and the smallest startups with one goal in mind: Creating beautiful, functional, and innovative user experiences that target real user needs.

I always wanted to design and make things. I can't remember a time when I wasn't creating something to improve an existing product as a kid. By high school I had already chosen to pursue Industrial Design. I was fascinated by touch interfaces and while getting my degree in ID, I knew I wanted to design for the screen instead of physical goods. By my junior year at Georgia Tech I was teaching grad students about the fundamentals of interaction design.

Since that time, I've worked as a freelance designer making all kinds of interfaces for a variety of businesses. From home automation products to consumer web sites to enterprise fleet management apps, I love to tackle new and difficult design challenges.

My design process is grounded in user focused Industrial Design principles. Once research is complete and personas are created, I move on to design, iterations, and user testing with high fidelity prototypes. I am most comfortable working in agile environments where trying new ideas is encouraged.

Besides interaction design, I love graphic design, infographics, and branding. For some smaller startups, I often get to leverage my entire skill set to develop brands and entire brand/product experiences, from print to screen.
